I am trying to be more proactive so I entered the guardian photo competition which is about texture as a means to focus – no pun intended – my choice of image.  It’s not often I go out with a particular group of images in mind but yesterday I thought I would have a go when I was at the allotment.

It’s been a bit of an odd year so far.  Everything took ages to start and the stuff that has started is of varying sizes and not really what I was expecting.  The first year it seemed that we had a huge harvest but on reflection I guess that it was just a huge surprise that we got anything at all.
